"dear Dean, I purchased a Pave' saddle from you a week or so ago. I have now done 500kms on this saddle and I am very satisfied with its performance. Without going into too many gory details hitherto i had some very "sore" saddle sores. Perhaps I should have spent some time off the saddle to clear things up but obsessions being what they are.... Any way, the sores have all but gone as the Pave' saddles performance correlates well with the manufacturer's claims. Thanks."

It worked a treat on the 4400km crossing of Australia - Perth to Sydney. You may wish to pass this mixture on to others. Thanks again."

"Good on you. Stick to your guns and you will prevail. It would seem that the restrictions are restrictive trade practice and possibly against the law. If your actions result in cheaper products to the consumer then so be-it. In many cases bike parts prices are outrageously expensive. I thought that in a capitalist democracy fair competition was what supposedly kept prices in check and prevented exploitative behaviour."

You may also want to provide key links to cycling news and manufacturer sites so that your subscribers get even better value added services thru a subscription. "Good on ya Dean. Stick it "up em". Nice to see someone with the drive to pursue their business strategy in the face of entrenched interests. I am a recent first time buyer from your site and while I only bought Five MTB tubes the service was fast, efficient and the product was first class. The fact that the price was approx 30% off usual retail, for (in this case) products which do not have the features yours have, was a bonus. I am referring to the non removable valve seal which on other brands I have tried has at times resulted in total loss of air when you unscrew the little rubber valve cap. On the basis of the quality and the price , I will be back for any future cycling bits needs. Keep up the good work and "Don't let the bastards grind you down"either in English or Latin."

"Dean & Ian, I couldn't agree with you more regarding the advertising bans placed by the two magazines. Currently as a subscriber to Bicycling Australia, (having been one for many years) I have found it an informative magazine on new products and as a resource for comparing products & prices. However when my current subscription finishes I will not be renewing, as the question must be raised as to how impartial the product review's are or they just keeping the advertisers happy. I thought a publication such as BA represented all riders, even those who want to cycle at a reasonable cost. The internet and overseas magazines have educated all cyclists on how severely Australian's are being ripped off, often paying 2 to 3 times the overseas price (once converted) for last seasons stocks. I look forward to continuing my support for Dean Woods Direct and are eagerly awaiting the arrival of MTB shoes which I can finance with what was to be BA's subscription renewal money."

"I read Ian Wellwood's letter in BV News and I am hopping mad at BV attitude in acting above the law in restricting the advertising of legal and genuine products. If the approved distributor can be undercut then it means that they are ripping off the consumer. I am not a fan generally of direct marketing as usually the saving does not make up for the "postage" however I note that your shipping cost seems pretty reasonable and I will be looking regularly to find things I can buy to support you and to spite BV. I am a BV member and while I will keep my membership for the insurance I will do everything I can to avoid buying any of their services and discourage others from doing so. I am just so mad at their attitude. As far as I am concerned their attitude has had the opposite effect that they intended. It has turned me against them and towards you."

I was skeptical at first that this would outdo my previous brand of floor pump, but I am happy to report that this pump rocks!
